Today while I was sitting at Maima, one of the restaurants at Fiesta Americana Villas Acapulco, I suddenly understood the lyrics of a very popular old Spanish song that translates something like this: “By the sea, life is more delightful…by the sea, everything is happiness…”. Sounds better in Spanish quite frankly, but it truly is, everything is better by the sea! I got a moment to myself while the rest of my family napped and got to do a little soul searching. I was sitting alone with a fish ceviche, and a Don Julio on the rocks at a beautiful patio in front of the ocean, and I thought to myself: “this is life!”. I felt peace and happiness, in that moment I felt grateful for everything I have and everything I am. I totally had a moment, I don’t know, perhaps it’s part of growing up. All mushiness aside, this year I decided to get out of my comfort zone, I decided to stop obsessing over things I have no control over and focus on the things I do. Focus on what I like, on me, who cares what anyone else thinks (writing this blog is one of those things). Life is meant to be enjoyed! I want to travel more and have fun; this trip was amazing. I spent two weeks in Mexico and I really enjoyed putting together my looks, specially my beach looks, so I decided to share one of my favorites. This chic asymmetrical flower print maxi dress I found on sale at Target is perfect for Acapulco weather, I wore it with sandals, but it would look great with heels too if you want to dress it up a bit. I also added a floppy embroidered beach hat I found on amazon and a round straw cross-body bag from Forever 21. The bag looks small, but fits literally everything, I love it! And of course, my sunnies from ZeroUV. So, without further ado, here’s MY TRAVEL EDITION: Vitamin D.

Hoy mientras estaba sentada en Maima, uno de los restaurantes de Fiesta Americana Villas Acapulco, de repente comprendí la letra de una canción que dice en parte: “En el mar, la vida es más sabrosa…en el mar, todo es felicidad…”. ¡Sí que lo es! Me di una escapadita mientras el resto de mi familia tomaba una siesta y tuve la oportunidad de meditar un poco. Estaba sentada sola, con un ceviche de pescado, y un Don Julio en las rocas frente al mar, pensé: “esto es vida”. Sentí paz interior, y en ese momento reconocí y aprecie todo lo que tengo y lo que soy, no sé, quizá es parte de madurar. Pero bueno, dejemos los sentimentalismos y entremos en materia. Ese año me propuse salir de mi zona de confort, decidí olvidarme de todo aquello que no puedo controlar y enfocarme en lo que sí puedo controlar, en lo que me gusta, en mí, sin importar lo que los demás piensen (escribir este blog es una de esas cosas). ¡Porque la vida es para disfrutarla carajo! Me propuse viajar más, divertirme, y este viaje fue increíble, estuve dos semanas en México y disfruté mucho armando mis “looks” de viaje, especialmente los de playa. Aquí les comparto uno de mis favoritos, un vestido de Target color mostaza con un estampado floreado. Perfecto para el calorcito de Acapulco, yo lo use con sandalias, pero se ve muy bien con tacones también, si quieres lucir más elegante. Un sombrero de playa bordado que conseguí en Amazon, y una bolsa de paja de Forever 21, chiquita, pero como es redonda le cabe absolutamente todo, ¡me encanto! Ah, y no olvidemos mis lentes de sol de ZeroUV que uso siempre. Así que bueno, sin darle más largas al asunto, aquí les dejo MI EDICION DE VIAJE: Vitamina D.
